§ 01
Notice

We collect as little as the work allows, hold it no longer than we must, and tell you plainly what we do. Privacy is a discipline, not a disclosure.

01

Who we are

Snæu AS (“Snæu”, “we”) is the data controller for personal data processed through this website and in the course of our client relationships. We are registered in Norway and based at Akersgata 28, 0158 Oslo.

Questions about this notice, or requests to exercise your rights, may be directed to studio@snæu.com.

02

What we collect

From visitors to this website we collect only what is necessary to operate and improve it. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which record aggregate, anonymised usage and performance measurements — including Core Web Vitals — without cookies and without identifying individuals, together with standard server logs retained for security.

When you write to us, we process the contact details and content you choose to send so that we can respond and, where relevant, evaluate a prospective engagement.

03

Legal basis

We process correspondence on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and managing client relationships (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), and, where applicable, in order to take steps prior to entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).

Operational and security logging rests on our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and secure.

04

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by Norwegian law. Enquiry correspondence that does not lead to an engagement is reviewed and deleted periodically.

05

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise any of these, write to studio@snæu.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

06

Transfers and processors

Where we rely on service providers (for example, hosting and analytics), we use providers that offer appropriate safeguards for any transfer of personal data outside the EEA, in line with Chapter V of the GDPR.
